This is the best yet look at the 911 high-riding machine.
Porsche is still developing a high-riding version 911, which we will call the Safari until the automaker gives it a name. These photos show the new styling cues we will be seeing on the 911’s upcoming refresh.
This car has a lot of black camouflage. Porsche hides the front fascia starting at the front. The Safari’s front fascia is covered. The vents at the base are similar to those on the current HTML3.
The Safari has extra cladding on the sides around the sills and wheel wells. These parts will provide some protection for the body panels in case it is ever taken off-road or used on a rally stage. This perspective makes the added ride height most apparent.
These photos show the Safari’s rear end in a strange way. The rear spoiler is fixed, and the piece wasn’t visible in previous spy shots. The rear bumper is covered by a large panel. The oval-shaped exhaust pipes can be seen, with outlets at the corners.
According to available information, the Safari uses the drivetrain of the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4S. It uses a 3.0-liter flat-six twin-turbocharged engine with 443 horsepower (329 Kilowatts) as well as 390 pound-feet (528 Newton meters) of torque. This output may change with the 911’s next refresh.
It is still unknown when the 911 Safari will debut. We are confident that the 911 Safari will be unveiled in 2022. We don’t know if Porsche will unveil the model simultaneously with the 911’s redesign or separately.
