It’s actually quite fun to take apart a perfectly functioning car.
There are two main ways to increase the car’s dynamic ability. Either you can reduce weight or increase power output. Although it is always better to combine the two, sometimes that’s not possible. If upgrades to the powertrain prove too costly or time-consuming, it is worth removing the car’s interior.
This is exactly what the Casey Putsch team did with their 2007 Porsche Boxster S. The team weighs the car before the start of the process. It is weighed in its stock form. The scales read exactly 3,123 pounds (1.416 kilograms). You can see the weight distribution of the four wheels in the video at the top.
We never imagined we would find it funny. This guy is having a great time tearing apart a perfectly functioning car that appears to be in good condition. It has always been a nightmare, but it’s something we have always enjoyed. This is extreme stripping.
After the 6:06-minute mark, the Boxster looks different. The bumpers, lights and roof panels, windshield, windshield, active spoiler, exhaust pipes, and roof panel are gone. They even took out the mirrors! The driver then drove the car to his Toyota MR2 right after he took it out of the garage.
