Buyers won’t have to worry about five people fitting in the Porsche Panamera sedan. Next year, the brand will offer seating for three people in its back. The layout will be identical to the Panamera Sport Turismo wagon’s rear. The Panamera sedan’s back seat does not have enough seating. This has been the reason why Porsche dealers in the United States are begging the company for a traditional bench seat. The current model is only available with two luxurious seats in the back and a high tech console between them.
Customers who are not patient enough to wait for the five seat Panamera sedan may order the Sport Turismo. It will be available in the United States during the first quarter 2018. You can choose from a split 40:20/40 bench or the dual buckets. Klaus Zellmer, CEO Porsche Cars North America, stated Automotive News that the wagon is currently about 10% of Panamera orders here in the U.S. According to the company, the estate would account for 5-10 percent of sales of the nameplate in the United States. Motor1 Steven Ewing, Managing Editor, recently took the Panamera wagon for a spin. He described the estate asn”Every compliment I can give the Panamera Turbo is applicable to the Sport Turismo.”
Although the Sport Turismo is not yet available from dealers, you can order one using Porsche’s configurator. The Panamera 4 Sport Turismo base model starts at $98,080 (after $1.050 destination). However, prices can soar to $2355,560 for Turbo models with all options.
