Porsche Dealers Claim Large, Three-Row SUV Is Coming

It blends crossover and sedan styling cues.

According to Automotive News, Porsche showed dealers a rendering of a bigger, possibly three-row crossover at a recent meeting. According to reports, the model will be placed above the Cayenne. It is expected to arrive in the second decade.

The vehicle was described by Automotive News by a dealer as “part sedan and part crossover” and “rakish.” According to some, the crossover doesn’t have styling cues similar to the Macan and Cayenne. The plug-in hybrid powertrain is reportedly the most efficient, although a fully electric version would be available later.

A Porsche spokesperson stated that the vehicle was part the Porsche Unseen program, where renderings are created for potential vehicles. “The majority of these don’t make the idea stage,” the person said. “We are grateful for the creativity in our business. We’re constantly exploring new opportunities and where to compete in future.”

The bigger Porsche crossover could take advantage of the innovations from Audi Project Artemis, while the flagship electric vehicle goes under the codename Landjet. The advanced driving aid system of the EV will allow it to cover long distances without driver input. According to the latest information, the Audi model will arrive in 2024

Project Artemis’s team reportedly has access to resources across the Volkswagen Group. It is hoped that autonomous technology will eventually be available in more affordable models.

Reports have suggested that the Landjet features three rows of seating, and blends sedan-crossover styling cues. This is in line with the way Porsche dealers describe the larger crossover.

Volkswagen is currently working on Project Trinity, which aims to develop the next generation of electric cars by 2026. The company claims that the products can charge in half the time as traditional combustion vehicles and set new standards for EV driving range.
