Tomorrow Bonhams will offer a one-of-a-kind 1983 Porsche 935 Street for sale. It is expected to fetch between 300,000 and 400,000.
Porsche Exclusive began a project called the 930 Turbo conversion. This was ordered by Mansour Ojjeh, a Saudi businessman who is also part-owner and CEO at TAG. TAG Heuer watches are one of TAG’s most well-known brands. TAG also holds a 21 percent share in McLaren Group, which includes both the McLaren Group responsible for developing road-going McLaren vehicles and the F1 team.
Porsche Exclusive began with a 930 shell. It then installed a turbocharged, 3.3-liter engine from the 934. This engine was further modified to produce 375 bhp (280kW). This one-of-a-kind vehicle was also equipped with 935 race-derived brakes and suspension, as well as the large arches. The vehicle is finished in a custom Brilliant Red paint scheme, while the interior features a cream leather upholstery and wood veneer. It required 550 modifications, including Clarion audio system and 15-inch BBS tires.
Porsche didn’t disclose the exact price tag, but it is believed Mansour Objjeh paid about three new 911 Turbos. It is in mint condition. The car was only driven 12,000 miles (19.312 km) over the years on short trips on the French Riviera.
