The 2019 Porsche Macan is a close-up look.

The Macan was originally launched in 2014. Porsche just launched a refreshed version. To see the differences you might need to use the magnifying glasses. Porsche’s Macan is the American automaker’s best-selling vehicle. The designers don’t want it to be upset, so the updates are focused on making the SUV more competitive with other models in this market.

Smooth Evolution

The 2019 Porsche Macan’s front doesn’t change much. The new headlights are sharper and have four LED running lights. The bumper’s front now has a larger corner air intake and turn signals are now integrated into the bottom, instead of at the top. The Macan’s current appearance was maintained by the designers.

These photos show the Macan sporting the new Miami Blue paint colour. This vibrant color contrasts nicely with the SUV’s black accents. Porsche has also added the colors Mamba Green Metallic and Dolomite Silver Metallic to its options list. The model’s new 20- and 21 inch wheels have a more modern look.

Larger Changes at the Back

The taillights are now extended along the length of the tail to create a more cohesive look at the rear. This element is also found on the next-generation 911, and the Taycan EVO.

Modern Interiors

Designers had to make the air vents higher than they were on the original design because of the larger display. Standard voice control is available, as well as the Offroad Precision smartphone application for recording camera feeds while off-road driving.

Porsche introduces new equipment to the cabin. The GT sports steering wheel has a look that is straight out of the 911. An air ionizer and heated windshield are also available for improved interior air quality. Traffic Jam Assist now allows semi-autonomous driving at speeds of up to 37 mph (60 km/h).

What you can’t see

Porsche engineers don’t modify the Macan’s engine, but they do tweak the chassis to improve driving dynamics. According to Porsche, the modifications improve stability of the SUV which results in a more comfortable ride.
