Porsche Makes A Road-Legal Sally Carrera 911 with Pixar

All proceeds from the auction will go to charity.

Sally Carrera plays a vital role in the animated movie Cars. You’re more likely to know it was inspired by the 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera.

Porsche is ready to take the inspiration from animated characters and create a unique, road-going Sally Carrera after 20 years. The automaker announced that it is indeed creating one. Style Porsche in Weissach, and Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur Stuttgart have been working together with a small Pixar Animation Studios team led by Bob Pauley, Cars Production Designer, and Jay Ward, Creative Director to make this a reality.

Porsche points out that the new Sally Carrera won’t be an animated copy. It will be inspired from the film’s blue sports coupe and will be based upon the 992-generation Porsche 911.

Zuffenhausen will only be able to build one street-legal, Sally-inspired Porsche 911. The Porsche 911 will be built in Zuffenhausen and it will be sold at auction by RM Sotheby’s. 100 percent of the proceeds will go to children. This includes Girls Inc.’s educational initiatives for young girls in America and refugees fleeing Ukraine. This donation will be in addition to Porsche’s donation before which provides emergency assistance for people affected by the Ukrainian humanitarian crisis.

Porsche Design will create a timepiece that will accompany the 911’s auction to complement the unique Sally Carrera. It will have the same unique styling as the 911 and many custom parts that make it a one-of-a kind addition to the project.

Porsche will soon release additional information on the road-going Sally Carrera 911, including details about when and where it will go up for auction.
