Porsche has never before made a 911 GT market-specific edition.
The 911 GT3 70 Years Porsche Australia Edition collaboration is between Style Porsche design team and the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur customization division, Porsche Cars Australia.
The 911 GT3 70 Years Porsche Australia Edition’s color is a nod to the origins of the automaker. It’s called Fish Silver Grey Metallic and is a modern interpretation Fish Silver Grey, which was the original paint color of the first two Porsche356 cars imported to Australia in 1951. Also, the Darksilver wheels come with rims in Fish Silver Grey Metallic. A flag badge of Australia and a wordmark indicating that the ’70 Years Porsche Australia Edition’ was added to both B-pillars were also included.
You will find full-sized bucket seats in leather Graphite blue with seat inlays made in Madraskaro fabric. Fish Silver Grey Metallic trims are used on the dashboard and center console, with additional commemorative badgeging in various areas.
The 911 GT3 70 Years Porsche Australia Edition is not cheap. It costs 494,300 AUD, or about $354,561, at current exchange rates. There are only 25 available units.
Porsche also released a short video to celebrate the launch the special edition 911 GT3. You can view it via the embedded video at the top of this page. The video was shot in Queensland and claims to capture the essence of 911 GT3 70 Years Porsche Australia Edition.
