Wotherspoon recommends cork for the dashboard and A-pillars, tops of the steering wheel, section of the center console, floormats, and other areas. Porsche says that fitting this material can be difficult. The laminated wood is delivered in rolls and then the trimmers must shape it into complicated shapes such as the dashboard’s curves.

Wotherspoon made a name for himself in 2018 with the creation of Nike Air Max 97/1 shoes that used corduroy as an upper material. This fabric is now a hallmark of his designs and appears in the middle sections of the seats of this Taycan Cross Turismo.

Wotherspoon visited the Porsche Design Studio in Weissach multiple times to work on the car. He not only consulted on the car in person, but also the team used virtual reality to test out the exterior color scheme. Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur customized the 21-inch Cross Turismo design wheels and black rear wiper covers.
