The new software includes additional features for Taycan.

It appears that Porsche continues to work on new models and updating its existing products. The Stuttgart-based automaker just released a new version its infotainment software. The Porsche Communication Management software version 6.0 is now available as a standard feature on all 911, Taycan and Cayenne models.

The new infotainment will be easily recognized visually thanks to the updated colored icons and streamlined menu structure. These were both created by the company on the advice of its customers. The Voice Pilot function is now more accessible and has had its interface redesigned. You can now access news updates, the owner’s manual and in-car music streaming much more easily.

The integration of wireless Android Auto connectivity is perhaps the most significant innovation. The Porsche Communication Management 6.0 also provides direct access for Spotify within the infotainment system. All the data required by Porsche Connect is available to users. They can log in using their existing account. All the popular features of the integrated app will be available, including the Like function and saved playlists.

Customers of Taycan will be pleased to hear that the Charging Planner app for the infotainment system uses improved algorithms. Porsche claims that customers will be able to plan their journeys much more efficiently thanks to the improvements made. When calculating total driving time, the Charging Planner now takes into account how long it takes to charge the car at the station.

All 911, Taycan and Panamera models will have the updated infotainment systems as standard. Production implementation will begin in the next few days. Each vehicle’s trim level and type of powertrain determine the exact functionality of this system.
