Proton’s design has changed a lot over the years. Their latest product is a good example. The Suprima S Super Premium, despite its name being a bit awkward, is a five-door hatchback with an R3 bodykit that includes a redesign front spoiler, side skirts and rear bumper, as well as 17-inch alloy wheels with an anthracite appearance.
The engine is a turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 138 bhp (103kW) at 5,000 RPM and 205 Nm (1151 lb-ft). It can also produce 138 bhp (33.3 kW) between 2,000 and 4,000 RPM. The output is sent to the wheels via a seven speed ProTronic CVT, while Lotus managed the car’s handling and ride.
The Proton Suprima S Super Premium includes traction control, ABS with electronic brakeforce dissipation (EBD), six airbags, and a hill-hold assist system. It also features leather upholstery, a push start button and cruise control. There are paddle shifters, paddle controls, and a rearview cam.
