When the PSA-FCA merger has been officially announced, it gave birth to the fourth-largest automaker in the world, next to the VW Group, Toyota, and the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. In an interview with BFM BUSINESS, a French television station, Carlos Tavares, CEO of PSA, shed light on the matter.According to Automotive News Europe, Tavares reported that neither FCA nor PSA plans to eliminate any brands as a result the merger. All 13 brands mentioned above will continue to be part of the PSA-FCA alliance.
Tavares stated that “I see that all of these brands have one thing in common, without exception: they have an amazing history.” BFM business. “We love the history behind car brands. It gives us a base from which to build our future. Today, I don’t see the need to remove brands if this deal is completed. They all have their histories and have their strengths.
