A Lamborghini Huracan Performante, an all-wheel-drive Lamborghini Huracan Performante, joins the party.
The supercar drag racing doesn’t take place on paper. It’s also not held on paper. These conditions are often enough to send potential racers to the pub, but the crew of this video shoot decided that supercars and water could coexist so filming and racing continued. This contest would not be judged on power but on traction. The 720S was running a set winter tires. However, such rubber doesn’t always work well in wetter conditions. Also, the Pirelli Trofeo R Pirelli Trofeo R tires that were fitted to the 600LT were decidedly dry-use and had minimal tread. Both cars were racing at speeds exceeding 100 mph on water. Sounds exciting.
Launch control was not used in these runs, probably because it would be impossible for the systems to understand why anyone would race in the rain a McLaren. We don’t usually spoil the outcome but it’s entertaining to watch these machines slice through water. This is especially true when the Lamborghini Huracan Performante, an all-wheel-drive Lamborghini Huracan Performante, comes out to play. It shouldn’t surprise that it slapped both McLarens in such conditions.Thankfully, all cars kept their rubber-sides down without major spins. We hope 888MF has some warmer weather for their next supercar outing.
