Ram 1500 BackCountry Edition Launches with Black Accents and Additional Equipment

Chicago will be the first public appearance.

Ram will provide an all electric version of every model before the end of this decade. Ram must make the most of the existing models before customers and the company can switch to electric power. The company will also introduce a special edition model to increase demand for the 1500 truck. It will be available in the third quarter.

The 2022 Ram 1500 BackCountry edition builds on the successes of the Lone Star and 1500 Big Horn models. Later this week, it will make its debut at the Chicago Auto Show. The vehicle is equipped with extra off-road equipment and has visual upgrades inside as well as out.
The hardware upgrades begin with the BackCountry Edition 1500 truck. It includes the 4×4 Off-Road Group. This includes tow hooks and skid plates for front suspension, power steering and fuel tanks, rear electronic locking axles, off-road calibrated shocks and hill-descent control. The Bed Utility Group is also included in the factory equipment. It includes an upper adjustable tie down, bed extender and deployable bed step as well as bed lighting and spray-in bedding liner.
Ram 1500 BackCountry Edition Launches with Black Accents and Additional EquipmenThe new special edition truck’s 18-inch black wheels will be easily recognisable from the outside thanks to the two-tone exterior paint and the two-tone black exterior paint. The package includes black badging, exhaust tips and headlight bezels as well as running boards. There is also a body-colored grille surround. Inside the cabin, there are two pairs of black bucket seats at each end and all-weather Mopar mats throughout. The exterior badge is matched by a BackCountry badge on a seven-inch screen. Ram claims that the 2022 1500 BackCountry edition will come with two versions the brand’s 5.7 liter V8. One is naturally aspirated and one is hybridized. Special edition trucks will be available with a MSRP of $40,000. This includes $1,695 destination fees.
