While Tesla continues to delay the Cybertruck, truck manufacturers are pushing ahead with their electric vehicle plans. Ram, along with Rivian R1T and GMC Hummer EV’s Chevy Silverado EV are also getting ready for the 1500 BEV. It was first teased in July, and now it’s back with a few fresh teasers to coincide the launch of a hub that gives an inside view of the development process.

Ram will meet truck owners at various events to gain a better understanding of their needs and provide a stronger relationship. The company will use the feedback from its year-long Ram Real Talk Tour to shape its future. It plans to offer electrified models in all segments by 2025. It will be electrified in all segments five years from now.

These teaser images don’t show the production-ready 2024 Ram 1500BEV. It’s a preview of a concept that is being created with customer input in order to finalize the road-going truck. It will ride on the STLA Frame platform, which was specifically designed for trucks.

We don’t have any details on the truck at this time, but we know that the dedicated electric architecture will allow pickups to travel 500 miles (805 km) without running out of power. Ram’s parent company Stellantis stated that the platform can support batteries with capacities ranging from 159 kWh up to more than 200kWh.

The STLA Frame will support trucks like the Ram 1500 BEV as well as full-size SUVs and commercial vehicles powered solely by electric propulsion. It is still far away and many details are not yet known. So, look out for Ram through the newly launched dedicated hub.
