While we knew Ram was close to launching a direct competitor to the Ford Raptor’s, there was no confirmation. In 2016, Ram unveiled the Rebel TX concept. It featured a Hellcat V8 engine with more than 500 horsepower and other upgrades. Although it looked like it could be quickly put into production, Ram decided to keep it quiet despite the demand for it to become a reality. It had to be done right.

“Back in ’16, it was a concept. We wanted to find out what the appetite was for such a truck. Lally stated that it was a very positive experience.
