Ram Power Wagon Mojave sand edition adds dusty look to rugged truck

Ram will only make 1,500.

Ram unveils the limited-edition Mojave Sand package to the 2018 Ram2500 Power Wagon. This makes the pickup blend better with the sand. Ram only makes 1,500 of these trucks and deliveries will begin in the fourth quarter. Special models are $54,830 plus $1,695 destination and $52,595 for the Power Wagon.

Ram reports that the Mojave Sand beige package-exclusive color is the most popular shade of the Ram Rebel. Therefore, the brand has made the limited-edition Power Wagon available in the same hue. This is the first time that the color has been made available on a Ram Heavy Duty model.

Mojave Sand package includes an entirely black version (17-inch) of Power Wagon’s 17 inch wheels. These wheels are typically made with polished aluminum rims. The interior features black upholstery and an 8.4 inch infotainment screen. These pickups come standard with the Heavy Duty Luxury Group option. This adds heated, power folding mirrors, LED lighting in bed, overhead consoles in the cabin, and an universal garage door opener.

This special edition doesn’t include the Power Wagon’s mechanicals. These trucks are powered by a 6.4-liter V8 engine that produces 410 horsepower (306 Kilowatts) as well as 429 pound-feet (581 Newton meters) of torque. The engine runs through a six speed automatic gearbox with four wheel drive. Locking differentials at the rear and front aid in traction. An electronic disconnecting bar gives you up to 26 inches (660mm) of wheel travel if the road gets really rough. Additionally, the pickup has 14.3 inches (363 mm) of ground clearance and 30 inches (762mm) of wading height. You can be pulled out of sticky situations by a Warn winch that is rated at 12,000 pounds (5,443 kgs).
