Ram tells Ford to pop the new Raptor’s Hood

The market for muscle trucks is hot.

The 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor launches On February 3, Ram doesn’t seem too concerned about having a rival to its recently launched product TRX Muscle truck. Ram challenged the Blue Oval on social media to “pop the engine hood” of a performance pickup to determine which one has more displacement. The TRX wins with its 6.2-liter V8. Comparable to the 3.5-liter V6

This is what you can expect from the Raptor’s engine compartment. The Ram boasts 702 horsepower (524 Kilowatts). Although the Ford’s power output is not known, it is likely to be. It’s not much more than the 336 kW 450 HP (336 hp) From the previous-gen truck.

Although we don’t know the exact gearbox of the Raptor, it is likely to have a 10-speed auto like the one in the TRX. The TRX, however, has an 8-speed auto.

Based on what we have seen so far, the Ram TRX will likely be the fastest truck to reach 60 miles per hour (96 km per hour) in 4.5 seconds. This speed was reached by the previous-gen Raptor in 6.0 seconds. This time might be cut slightly by the new Raptor.

These trucks are great for off-roading. The Trail Control off-road cruise control system was an impressive feature in the previous Raptor. High-tech adaptive dampers can detect if the pickup is jumping, and adjust accordingly.

The TRX also has some tricks. The system has Bilstein Blackhawk E2 adaptivehocks with remote reservoirs. The system, like the Raptor can detect if the truck is airborne.
