Ram Unceremoniously Distaches ‘Laramie” from Longhorn Name

An excellent truck deserves a new name.

Mopar Insiders reports that Ram will officially drop the Laramie brand from the Ram 1500 pickup-truck’s Laramie Longhorn trim to rebrand their luxury truck offerings. Ram 1500’s top trim will remain the Limited trim. The Laramie Longhorn will transition to the Limited Longhorn in order to reduce confusion and align the luxury trucks into a closer relationship.

Ram Unceremoniously Distaches 'Laramie" from Longhorn Name

The Ram 1500 Limited shares many of the same standard equipment features, including side steps, chrome trim, headlights, and LED headlights. It makes sense that these trucks share the same trim names. Ram customers will have the option of the Longhorn, which is a Western-themed truck with familiar materials such as leather, wood and stitching. It offers a truly luxurious package.

Truck shoppers will find it easier to navigate the truck market with the name change. The new Limited Longhorn, which is easier to pronounce than the Limited trim, lets truck shoppers know that this truck is extremely luxurious and offers a unique Southwestern twist. Ram dealers will now have an easier time helping truck buyers choose a luxury truck. Are you looking for unique styling elements that are reminiscent of the American West or a luxurious build in the Ram Limited model?

Ram can help you decide what truck you want. Trucks can be transformed from basic workhorses to luxurious S-Class vehicles with a wide range of trim levels and options. This versatility is why Americans continue to purchase more trucks each year.
