Ram’s ‘Built to Serve Edition’ is now full Patriot for the U.S. Buyers

Five models that evoke the five branches will be used to represent the U.S. Armed Forces.

Ram loves special edition trucks as much as Ram buyers. This latest offering isn’t just a flashy package with flashy exteriors. The Built To Serve Edition is a special edition of Ram 1500 trucks that pays tribute to all branches of the U.S. army. Every three months, a new model will be released to recognize each of the five armed forces (Army Marines, Air Force and Navy) Ram does not specify which branch will be featured in the first edition. However, it will launch this month to coincide with Veterans Day.

The special appearance package features unique features like U.S. flag decals placed on quarter panels Built to Serve Badging can be found in many places, both indoors and out. 20-inch aluminum wheels are given a package-specific color of gray. Most body accents are either body colors or blackout treated. This includes bumpers, bumper surrounds, and headlight surrounds. The back also has dual 4-inch exhaust tips. There are Velcro areas inside that allow buyers, presumably active or retired military, to apply patches to customize their vehicle.
Each military branch will also receive a truck in one of the two special colors. You can choose from any style of body or powertrain combination. Production will be limited to 9,000 units. Ram’s volunteer initiative Ram Nation, which encourages grassroots volunteer events, also includes the Built to Serve edition trucks. The group aims to reach 1.3 million volunteer hours by Veterans Day 2020, which will be just over a full year away.

Reid Bigland (head of Ram brand) stated that Ram wants to honor all those who have served or are currently serving the United States with distinction. Ram truck owners, whether civilian or military, can stand proud behind the motto “Built to Serve”. We want Ram owners to come together to make a difference in their local communities. Our Ram Nation volunteer group was established in 2015 to allow Ram truck owners to get involved when there is a need.
