Range Rover’s Evoque Cabrio concept has been revealed ahead of its debut at Geneva Motor Show.
The concept, which is based on the Evoque three-door model, looks remarkably attractive. It features a soft top retractable and 21-inch alloy wheels. Although the company claims that the modifications had minimal impact on the crossover’s weight and torsional rigidity the details have not been published.
Although the interior is identical to the standard model, it’s packed with high-tech gadgets. Leather seats, a Meridian sound system, and an infotainment system featuring an 8-inch screen are some of the highlights.
Range Rover declined to say whether the concept would be made into production but suggested that it is exploring “the potential for a premium convertible SUV.” It could be in showrooms by 2014, or 2015, depending on whether the model is ultimately green-lit.
