Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate Edition Launches with Visual Upgrades

Land Rover’s most powerful and fastest SUV, the Land Rover Discovery, is now available for $141,600.

The Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate has arrived. It comes with a long name and a high price, but it also features countless visual enhancements. You can dress it in any of three hand-finished paints. The Ligurian Black Satin is joined by two exclusive colors with glass flake particles, Marl Grey Gloss or Maya Blue Gloss. The roof is finished in Narvik Black, which provides a contrast effect.

Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Opera treated the Ultimate special edition with luxurious finishes like the black lettering “Range Rover” on the tailgate and hood, as well as white edging on the front fender ornaments. The SUV rides on 22-inch forged wheels with five split-spoke designs and black brake calipers. The Narvik Black hue is also found on the side mirror caps and front grilles.

Upon opening the doors, you will likely notice the SV Bespoke chrome badge on the B-pillars. This is a reminder that this is not your average Range Rover Sport. The Ultimate has illuminated treadplates and black-anodized metal gearshift pedals. Windsor-leather covered performance seats are proudly sporting embossed SVR logos.

The Range Rover Sport Ultimate doesn’t have any modifications under the hood. It uses the supercharged V8 engine of 5.0-liter to produce 575 horsepower and 516 pounds-feet (706 Newton-meters) torque. The luxury barge can sprint 60 mph/96 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, while 62 mph/100 km/h takes 4.5 seconds. It tops out at 176mph (283 km/h).

The Ultimate is priced at $141,600 plus $1,350 handling and destination fees. It’s also more expensive than the standard SVR, which costs $26,100. It’s $11,600 less expensive than the SVR Carbon Edition which, as its name suggests, offers a variety of carbon fiber upgrades.

Spy shots (see above) show that Land Rover has begun road testing the next-generation Range Rover Sport SVR. This engine could be a twin-turbo, 4.4-liter V8 borrowed from BMW. The engine produces more than 600 horsepower in the X5 M/X6 M Competition. This could give it a power boost.
