There are no new powertrains.
Renault tried to excite us about Talisman ‘s facelift, but it was a lot of the same. The refreshed D-segment model from the Old Continent is more of the exact same. The visual changes are minor, but there are some tech improvements.
The exterior features include a slightly modified radiator grille, new optional LED matrix headlights, and integrated dynamic indicators. The LED taillights receive new graphics, and there is an additional chrome trim. A few new colors are also included, along with new alloy wheels in the 17-, 18 and 19-inch sizes. The highlight of the cabin is the fully-digital configurable instrument cluster that measures 10.2 inches. It is available with the Intense package and replaces the semi-digital panel.
As we have already mentioned, the new LED matrix headlights are available. They improve visibility by as much as 50% compared to older Renault models. The new Talisman provides Level 2 autonomous driving thanks to new assist systems such as highway and traffic jam companions, plus an upgraded Active Emergency Braking System.
The market will determine which engine options are available for the refreshed model. Although electrified options won’t be available at first, the new model will feature Renault’s 1.3-liter turbo gasoline engine with 160 horsepower (119kilowatts), and a turbo-four turbo-four with 265 hp (168kW). There will be a choice of a 1.7-liter diesel unit with 120 or 150 horsepower (89 and 112kW), as well as a flagship 2.0-liter DCi engine with 200 hp (194kW) and dual-clutch auto.
