The luxury coupe produces nearly 600 horsepower even on the dyno.
Renntech, Mercedes-Benz experts, has created the AMG Coupe. This menacing luxury vehicle boasts a dyno-verified 588 horsepower. The two-door looks like a stealthy jet with its matte black paint and dark emblems.
The S63 AMG Coupe’s biturbo V8 of 5.5-liter capacity makes a generous 577 horsepower and 664 lb-ft. Renntech adds an ECU upgrade to increase the output to 669 horsepower and 734 lb.ft. Renntech then adds a tuner’s downpipes to the engine with 200-cell catalytic converts, adding another 10 hp or 15 lbft.
However, the company’s numbers can only be verified by Renntech, who has the dyno data to support its claims. A stock S63 AMG Coupe produced 445 horsepower and 489 lb.ft at its wheels. The stats went up to 588 horsepower and 697 lb.ft after the tuners added their parts.
The S63 AMG Coupe’s extra power is not cheap. The upgraded ECU by Renntech costs $3,495, assuming you have already paid $164,075 for the Mercedes. You will pay $4,940 more for the improved downpipe and catalytic convertors. For extra style and speed, you can paint your coupe matte black as this one.
