Report: 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6, To Debut on July 14,

It should be available in the USA for the model year 2023.

The Ioniq 6 is the next major EV from Hyundai. The Ioniq 6, a zero-emissions sedan, was teased earlier in the month. A new report suggests that it will be making its global debut at the Busan Motor Show on July 14. The information is not from Hyundai Motor Company but TheKoreanCarBlog which is a reliable source of information for the South Korean auto industry.

The Ioniq 6 was originally scheduled to launch in March or April, but Hyundai made last-minute modifications to its components and delayed the launch. According to reports, Hyundai Chairman Chung Eui Sun requested that the modifications be made before the electric sedan can hit the market. The changes reportedly include modifications to the front and rear bumper for a more aerodynamically-optimized shape and extra range at a single charge. The EV is expected to be available in the United States for the model year 2023.

2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6, To Debut on July 14,

The project CE is internally known as the Ioniq 6. It will be designed according to the Prophecy concept starting in 2020. It is described by the automaker as an “Electrified Streamliner”, which matches the design of the concept. The production model’s design will, of course, be more refined than the prototype. It will debut in 2020.

The Ioniq 6 will reportedly use a 77.4-kilowatt hour battery pack. It rides on the E-GMP platform that is shared with the Ioniq 5 & Kia EV6. An alleged dual-motor variant with a power output of 300 horsepower (224 kilowatts) is in development. It will be interesting for Hyundai to produce an N performance version that shares its 576-hp (576-kW) electric motor with the EV6 GT.

The Ioniq 7 will join Hyundai’s electric range, following the Ioniq6. It will be a large SUV with zero emissions, based on the E-GMP platform. This concept shows it. It will be available for sale in 2024.
