Richard Hammond’s new commuter to work is a Dodge Charger Hellcat

Former Top Gear host, Mark has a lot to say about the muscle sedan’s 707 horsepower.

We all know Richard Hammond loves the Ford Mustang. What can Richard Hammond say about another American muscle car? One with four doors and over 700 horses.

Meet DriveTribe’s newest resident vehicle, a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. The sedan fits in well with the publication. Hammond has not yet driven it. This brings us to the new episode, where Hammond commutes to work in the muscle car.

Hammond stated that he was trying to be mature regarding the Charger Widebody with its 6.2-liter supercharged, V8 engine. After pressing the start button, he heard the engine’s deep grumble.

Hammond’s first observation about the Charger was its size. He repeatedly mentioned the car’s size within nine minutes, in multiple variations straight from a thesaurus. He even said it was larger than the Land Rover Land Rover and felt it as such.

Hammond made a quick comment about the Charger’s size. He also mentioned the interior, noting the cheap plastics and leather seats that look like toffee. He did say that the cabin doesn’t feel “horribly tack” so that’s good.

Hammond isn’t sure what the Charger Hellcat is. Because it has four doors, Hammond couldn’t consider it a muscle car. He believes muscle cars should only be about the engine. The rest of the parts around the V8 should only be the supporting casts.

Hammond also compared the Charger with a BMW M5 — a super-powerful executive sedan that has an American flair.

The Smallest Cog was Hammond’s historic car restoration business. Former Top Gear presenter praised the Charger for being a great way to commute to work. We believe he enjoyed the car, but we will see if he spends more of his time with it over the next months.
