Petty stated that the Challenger is special because it was something he wanted to drive every day. “I wanted the car’s look to be race-car but also practical on the streets, and the guys captured that perfectly.

Petty’s Garage will auction the ’09 Challenger at the Barrett-Jackson auction in January. All proceeds go to the Petty Family Foundation which aids “veterans and children with life-threatening illnesses” according to Petty.
