There are two sizes to choose from, depending on the amount of space you require.

Roofnest’s Falcon 2 rooftop tent is a complete redesign of the original Falcon from 2019. The model measures 88inches long, 50inches wide and 6.5inches tall when closed. The XL model is $3,795. It expands the width to 60 inches to allow for more space for sleepers.

Roofnest’s Falcon Pro is the inspiration for the bottom shell. It is made from honeycomb aluminum with double accessory channels. They can support up to 75 pounds and can be attached to any gear using standard M8 hex bolts. An eight-foot aluminum ladder with telescoping is available to get to the tent.

Roofnest uses a thicker, more quiet, 320-gram, poly-cotton fabric inside the tent. The tent has a black-out coating to block the sun from disturbing your sleep. In case of a severe storm, you can zip-on raincovers to cover the three entrances.

The memory foam mattress is 2.5 inches thick. Six pockets are available to hold your tablet or smartphone. There are two, battery-powered dimmable, LED strips that provide light.

Roofnest’s Condor offerings are above the Falcon line. The Falcon Pro is the range-topping choice at $4,095. The roof has a PVC skylight panel that allows nighttime stargazing.

The Overland Condor model is the most expensive at $3,595. It is 93 inches in length and 54 inches wide with a aluminum shell. Three accessory channels can hold either 100 or 40 pounds when the tent’s closed.

Motor1.com editor Brett T. Evans had the opportunity to rest in a Roofnest Condor on a trip to Sequoia National Park. The setup was simple and the mattress was very comfortable. He wrote, “It was actually the best night of sleep I have had while camping, refreshing and almost completely before it was my turn to drive home.”
