A young Russian vlogger needed 1,000 feet (300m) to reach his goal. Mercedes-Benz. It wasn’t any Merc, it was a Merc. Mercedes-AMG G63 Dropped from a helicopter onto snowy ground. Igor Moroz, a YouTuber who is known for his pranks, was the allegedly angry owner of the SUV.

Moroz wrote in Instagram that the G-Wagen was difficult to own after he purchased it in March 2018, for 16.8 million rubles ($270,000). He had to have it repaired every month, and sometimes he would leave his car at the dealership for as long as a month. Some of the defects were allegedly not covered by warranty and the dealer refused to fix them.

But there’s more to the story. According to Kolesa a report that Moroz and his friend had fought for was published. The contract required Moroz to destroy his AMG G63 at high altitude. This is a very specific way to do so, but it was part of the agreement.

We don’t know if this was an actual display of disillusionment or just a publicity stunt. It’s expensive, we all know. The wreckage of the AMG G63 is gone. It was reduced to a flat, unrecognizable piece of rubble.

Kolesa reported the Russian police are investigating the incident. Moroz’s video has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times as of the time of writing. It was, indeed, a huge success.
