Truck Garage, a Russian tuning company, has given the classic GAZ 69 a complete overhaul. Truck Garage was something we were not familiar with, but once we saw the GAZ 69 project, we became instant fans. St. Petersburg’s guys plan to convert 12 mountain goats into V8 beasts, with various styling modifications. There is currently one machine in production. It features a 6.4-liter V8 Hemi motor that produces 465 horsepower (342 kW). This power is channeled to the four wheels via an all-wheel drive system or an automatic transmission. Other technical improvements include adjustable coilovers and ARB rear differentials. Teraflex disc brakes are available for all four wheels. 17-inch alloy wheels come with 35-inch offroad tires. You will find a retro feel inside the cabin, complete with cool gadgets like leather-electrically-adjustable seat and retro-looking stereo system with Bluetooth and iPhone connectivity. Truck Garage will offer similar technical upgrades and engines of 5.7- and 6.1-liters for other vehicles. Some will come with a retractable softtop, while others will be equipped with a traditional hardtop cabin. There will be several colors available and prices starting at $57,770.
