It is impossible to set up an ice cream van at fairs or festivals in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. The van operators are moving more and more, taking their frozen treats to homes.

Customers order Whitby Morrison icecream trucks using the Sprinter 3.5-tonne version. The company can also build them on the 5.0 ton chassis. The vans are exported to over 60 countries. Color vehicles will be a hit with both children and adults looking for a fun snack.

Ed Whitby, Operations Director, stated that “our vehicles are synonymous of the highest quality” and met all the requirements of our customers.

In early 2018, Mercedes unveiled a major redesign of the Sprinter. This included minor changes to the exterior design, including the grille and the headlights. A new front-wheel drive powertrain option was also available. The company also installed MBUX infotainment systems that allow fleet managers to monitor the vehicle. The company also installed a new air conditioning system and a camera system.

Mercedes added an electric Sprinter version to its lineup in 2019. The van was capable of producing 55 kilowatt hours or 41 kWH battery. The van had a higher capacity and 104.4 miles (168 km) range. It also has a payload capacity capacity of 1,964 lbs (891 kgs). The van’s cargo capacity was identical to the one powered by combustion.
