SEMA: Nelly’s 2009 Ford Flex Customized by Nelly

Nelly, a hip hop artist, brings his 2009 Ford Flex customized to SEMA. Nelly collaborated with a Ford designer to create this customized Flex that features 22-inch rims, an Internet entertainment and a few other gadgets.

Ford’s latest crossover was a hit with Nelly, a hip hop artist. He had to get the Ford Flex.

Grammy-winning Grammy winner, 34, saw the car at an Atlanta Ford event last July. His enthusiasm was shared with DJ Funkmaster Flex who has been working with Ford since 2005 to customize vehicles.

Nelly presented his ideas to Ford, and Melvin Betancourt worked with him on his car design. It is a cosmetic work that includes a luxurious leather interior, a state of the art sound system, custom-colored blue with a white roof and 22-inch wheels. The exhaust system adds some rumble to Flex.

Ford claims that more than half of Flex customers are new to Ford and hopes to add a little glamour to Flex sales by introducing the star-inspired tuner model to SEMA.

Nelly calls himself a “premier stuntastic stuntman” in the press release. We still need to know what this means.
