Acura will preview a new crossover starting today with the Concept SUVX exhibited at 2013 Auto Shanghai.
At the beginning of this month, the Japanese marque revealed a new concept for China’s auto show. We assumed it was a crossover. The Concept SUV-X, a small SUV that was specifically designed for the local market, proved us right. This is Acura’s first concept outside of North America.
A production version of the concept will be available in China within three years. Concept SUV-X is described as having “emotional, sharp styling and driving performance”, along with the usual utility of an SUV. Acura has not released any information about the Concept SUVX’s powertrain, but it is likely that some hybrid tech is involved.
