Nissan’s new sporty hatch concept was created for young people in emerging market markets. It features a powerful turbocharged 1.6-liter engine.
At the Shanghai auto show, Nissan unveiled the Compact Sport Concept.
This small hatchback was created by Nissan and Chinese partners. It appears to be inspired by the Micra model but is not identical. It measures 3,482mm in length and 1,444mm high, which is different from the Nissan Micra.
The engine is a turbocharged four-cylinder turbocharged direct injection power plant of 1.6 liters. It produces 140 kW (190 PS/188 bhp) as well as 240 Nm (177lb-ft). The unit is connected to the Xtronic XT-M6 transmission – a CVT with six gears and a manual shift mode.
The Compact Sport Concept is Nissan’s concept for young people in emerging markets like China. However, this design could be adapted to other countries and become a global compact sporty Nissan model.
