Shelby GT500 Super Snake 2010 with 725hp

Shelby has unveiled a new tuning kit to fit the Ford Mustang. The Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake is a limited edition tuner’s dream. It produces 725 horsepower.

Shelby, a Las Vegas-based tuner, has released a new set of Mustang mods. The 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake is a limited edition. It includes performance and power improvements.
Carroll Shelby said, “Over the last 12 months my team of hot rodders has been hard at work on the Super Snake package for next generation GT500.” Shelby owners will be proud that this car incorporates every lesson learned from chasing the competition around the track for the past two years.
The Shelby/Kenne Bell supercharger kits can be added to the car, increasing power output to 725 horses. The Ford Racing Supercharger can be used to boost the power output of the car up to 630 horsepower and 590 ft.lb. The driver can choose to use the short-throw shifter to control a six-speed manual gearbox with a 3.73 rear axle ratio. Both include a Borla exhaust unit.

Ford Racing’s standard handling package for the Super Snake includes lowered springs and adjustable dampers, a front strut tower brace, and tuned stabilizer bars. The Shelby/Eibach package can also be purchased. The rotors are surrounded by custom Alcoa 20-inch wheels. The package also includes a six-piston Shelby/Baer brake controller and front brake cooling ducts.

The company states that “Exclusivity is assured as a limited amount of Super Snakes will been built”, but they don’t say how many units will be made. Anyone considering purchasing the car would find this information very useful.
Production of the 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake begins in August. The 630 horsepower package costs $29,495, while a 725 horsepower kit costs $33,495. The price of the car does not include installation.
