The Ram 1500 Big Horn Low Down concept Debuted at SEMA Show 2018 The pickup rides two inches lower than stock and has a design that recalls the look of minitruck modding. Since then, the company has been collecting customer reactions to help them develop the suspension lowering kit. FCA brought the pickup along to the Woodward Dream Cruise, and drove it around to get feedback.

According to Motortrend, FCA’s Mopar parts department is still deliberating whether to add the lowering kit as an aftermarket product to its extensive list. Engineers might have to relocate the airbag trigger sensor sensors if a production version is created. This could be because of the modified ride height. The final decision on selling the kit should be made by 2020.

Low Down makes the most of its drop ride height by using 22-inch wheels with gloss black faces, Brass Monkey accents and 22-inch wheels. The front features a Mopar Hood with two raised sections. The body’s sides are decorated with subtle fender flares. The bed is covered with a one-piece hard tonneau. The truck’s exterior features a black upper section and a silver rest. A thin Brass Monkey stripe separates the two colors.

The familiar Hemi V8 5.7-liter powertrain powers the engine. The engine breathes through Mopar’s cold-air intake and five-inch exhaust tips that exit the rear.

The truck’s interior features polished and brushed door sill plates with the Ram logo. Mopar concept bright pedals are available and all-weather mats are also available.
