Sinkholes are the most frightening of all vehicular accidents. Nothing is more terrifying than your car being swallowed whole by the ground, especially if it’s happening inside your vehicle.

It was a sinkhole incident in Israel, Jerusalem. Thankfully, nobody had to go through that. The incident was captured on video, which can be viewed in the embedded video on top of this page. It took place in Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Hospital parking lot on Monday, June 7, 2021.

Strangely, most of the sinkholes that we have seen in the past occurred in inclement weather . However, this one happened on a sunny, dry day.

The hospital distributed the security footage, which shows a lot of cars collapsing into the ground. Many videos that were taken by witnesses during the incident have gone viral on social media platforms. Global News posted the video at the top of this page. According to reports, it is located near a tunnel construction that runs underneath the hospital and involved parking lot. According to reports, authorities are currently investigating the incident and determining if tunnel construction had anything to do the sinkhole.

There were approximately 50 cars in the parking lot when the sinkhole appeared. At least three vehicles were involved. Police had to block roads in the area and a special rescue team was called to assist with rescue efforts to find any trapped people among the vehicles that were being buried by the ground. Israeli police reported that the incident at the sinkhole didn’t result in any deaths or injuries.
