Tony Hawk is your true self.
Fame and fortune can bring many great things. However, there are also downsides to fame and fortune.
Tony Hawk, a professional skateboarder and cultural icon, learned this the hard way when he attempted to rent a vehicle.
Hawk is well-known to everyone, whether it’s his 16 X Games medals haul, his videogame series, or his charitable efforts. Being one of the most prominent names in action sport proved to be a problem.
Hawk posted on Twitter his experience of trying to rent a vehicle but his reservation was cancelled when he arrived to pick it up.
He said, “At the rental car agency, I can’t locate my name on a monitor to find mine car. Go inside and wait in line.” “Finally, [I] reach the front, [the] agent spots me and says “you really are Tony Hawk.”
He replied, “Um, yes.” “I was looking outside for my name on the list.”
The rental agent had already deleted Mr. Hawk’s reservation after he saw the name on the list and assumed it was fake. He then deleted the reservation without second thoughts.
