It can be used to transport an unruly labrador. However, the police can also use it to transport highly-trained asatians.

Skoda has a long tradition of making its family cars “blue-light” vehicles for emergency services. Scala and Karoq police cars have existed, but the Kodiaq SUV is the latest to switch. It is being offered to the U.K. police force in dog van form.

Skoda’s public images may not show the type of dogs that average household pet will have – they are more domestic pets – but it is a demonstration of how the family car can be turned into a reliable workhorse. The car’s rear has two dog kennels that are both air-conditioned and comply with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty To Animals (RSPCA).

The kennels are built into the trunk space, and include temperature monitoring and an escape hatch to allow dogs to quickly evacuate the vehicle if necessary. The kennels also have a storage area to store safety equipment.

The Kodiaq dog vehicle has features that are specific to humans, in addition to providing safety for four-legged friends. The engine lock system keeps the engine running even if the key is removed. This allows the engine to be used as a generator. It can power lights, radios, and computers, without draining the battery.

The vehicle is finished in police markings with reflective yellow stripes along the sides.

Skoda offers the dog vehicle with two- or four-wheel drive. This gives police officers the freedom to take their dogs off-road. There are also four engine options. There are two gasoline engines and two diesel engines that produce power outputs of 148 to 236 horsepower.

Henry Williams, Skoda U.K.’s head of fleet, stated that the Kodiaq was a versatile model that could provide enough care to keep dogs safe and happy.

He said that police dogs play an important role in emergency services response. Therefore, they need an environment that offers the right level of safety and comfort to transport them from one emergency to another. The versatile Kodiaq police canine vehicle is equipped with all the necessary features to ensure that police dogs are safe and well taken care of while they do their essential work.
