The Skoda Snowman seven-seat SUV was spotted for the first time before next year’s confirmed launch.

This SUV looks stretched Yeti. It is a chassis test mule, so it doesn’t have the production body yet. Skoda may only just started testing the larger SUV. It will be able to ride on the MQB platform. It should measure approximately 4.6 meters in length, which is significantly longer than the Yeti (4.22 metres) compact crossover.

The Snowman will come with a 5-seat layout, but the client can add two additional rear seats at an extra cost. This will likely be only suitable for children and teenagers. A front-wheel drive layout will be standard, while AWD will be available only with larger engines.

Skoda will build the Snowman in their Kvasiny factory, Czech Republic. This is the same place they made the Roomster and Yeti. The new Skoda high-riding model, which is owned by VW, will go on sale in the second quarter of 2016. It is expected to offer “lots off-road capability” and a large towing capacity.
