Slammed Cadillac Escalade on 30-Inch Wheels is Not for Everyone

Are you a yay or nay person?

Fun fact: Lowrider culture dates back to Los Angeles, California in the 1940s. Lowriders were influenced by political and cultural statements. Today, lowrider culture is far more widespread than its original political stance.

Jake McKiddie, who had a Cadillac Escalade stock price of $108,000, decided to make it a lowrider and slammed to ground as much as possible. McKiddie’s Escalade, while often associated with hip-hop culture and “balling”, is a completely different breed. It might seem that the Escalade was lowered and given large wheels. It was actually a lot of aftermarket work. McKiddie’s team had to rebuild the chassis bumper to bumper in order to allow the lower stance. The customization required a lot machine work, cutting and working with electronics. Wheel tubs are installed inside, which allows for a very low stance. You can find the wheel tubs inside the engine bay. They flank the unmodified 6.2-liter V8.

The set of 30 inch MTW billet wheels was the most significant upgrade. The larger stock rotors look out of place when paired with the huge set of rims. Wilwood 6-piston brake discs are now included. McKiddie might seem to have taken years to complete this project. McKiddie only took 8-9 weeks to transform the stock Escalade into the SUV.
