Someone Attempts to Beat a Dodge Demon with a Modified Syclone

Excuse me for mentioning Meteor Man, but this drag racing is sick.

TD06-17C turbocharger with 4.3-Liter V6 LB4 engine and 48mm twin-bore throttle bodies. These are not specifications for a sports car. These are the features you will find under a GMC Cyclone, a 1991 sports truck that boasted an acceleration comparable to a Corvette, or even a Ferrari.

These laurels aside, can a modified GMC Syclone defeat the Dodge Challenger RT Demon at a drag track? Demonology was kind enough to answer our questions via a video.

The video, which goes beyond the MeteorMan references, shows a Dodge Demon in all its 840-horsepower glory, out of Carlyle Racing’s garage. According to the description, the Demon’s owner had worn out his stock driveshaft. We are not surprised that the Ohio-based performance shop replaced the drive shaft with a carbon-fiber one.

Someone Attempts to Beat a Dodge Demon with a Modified Syclone

You can see that the revived Demon is going to be racing in drag races with a slight weight difference and the ability vibrations and rotational harmonics. It did, of course.

The Demon is confronted by a Corvette C3 as well as a modified Ford F150. You won’t be surprised by the results, but you will be shocked by the Meteor Man references. Although we don’t know why Demonology used the movie as a reference, it was certainly funny. At least it was for us.

The Demon will face a “legendary pickup truck” – the GMC Syclone – in its final race. The modified truck, which is almost 30 years old, will it be able to compete with the Demon’s carbon fiber-driven Demon? You can watch the video at the top of the page. While you’re there, let us know which car will face the Demon down the drag strip via the comments section below.
