Learn more about SpeedFactory’s new tuning package for Dodge Challenger, based in Atlanta, Georgia. Read the full story.
SpeedFactory, an American tuner, has increased the Dodge Challenger SRT8’s output from 425 HP to 600 HP (447 kW/ 608 PS) without using a supercharger.
The displacement was increased to 7.0-liters (426 cu inches) starting with the standard HEMI engine 6.1-liter. SpeedFactory used a larger volume intake system, matched with a stainless-steel Corsa exhaust, and also used an 85mm throttle body with a custom Comp hydraulic cam. SpeedFactory also used a CNC-machined stock manifold with port matching to create a dyno proven 595-605 HP using premium-grade 91-octane fuel.
SpeedFactory comes with a six speed manual transmission and a Getrag IRS/Centerforce clutch. There are also a few other extras.
You can upgrade the engine but it isn’t the only thing that needs to be upgraded. Performance-grade springs are used to improve the vehicle’s handling. New struts and sway bars are also added. Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires are used on 20-inch BBS wheels.
The package includes leather seats, leather door inserts and custom floormats. The 2010 SF600R Challenger costs $73,900.
