Bring cash. There is a lot of money.
Update 8/03: SpeedKore’s carbon-fiber Dodge Challenger SRT Demon sold after a week of bidding. The website stated in a tweet that the sale was for $160,000 on Bring A Trailer. The SpeedKore Challenger, one-of-five, costs $75,000 more than its factory Demon when it was new.
A full carbon fiber body is not at all bad. SpeedKore built this car. Yes, it has a full body reskin. Everything gets the carbon fiber treatment. SpeedKore claims that the result is 200 pounds lighter than the standard Demon. These cars were only five in number. SpeedKore says that this car was used as a prototype to create carbon fiber bits for the Challenger Widebody.
This Demon, aside from its carbon fiber bodywork is listed as factory stock. A press release about the car, which can be found at the Press Release link above, states that it has mainly been to car shows. Although it isn’t claimed that the car has never been raced with 181 miles on its odometer it seems unlikely that it has made any quarter-mile sprints.
As of July 27, the bidding was already at $50,000. There are still seven days to go. Is there any guess as to the final bid price when it is all said and done?
