…with 1,400 horsepower at the flywheel
The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is your only choice today if you are looking for a road-legal car that can run sub-10 seconds per quarter mile. This car was designed to go fast off the line and take on drag racers of all types. SpeedKore, a tuning company, doesn’t think that’s enough.
The tuners will unveil something special at the SEMA Show. The Demon is equipped with two 6875 Precision Billet T4 turbochargers that replace the stock supercharger. The V8 engine is now producing approximately 1,400 horsepower (1.044 kilowatts at the flywheel), which means that the rear wheels can receive up to 1,200 horsepower (895 kW) thanks to the forced induction. Thanks, Hennessey
You should inspect the bodywork closely if it appears almost identical. Every exterior panel, including bumper, hood and rocker panels, diffusers, rocker, rocker panels, wheel arches and fenders, is reproduced using carbon fiber details. Although we don’t have an exact weight, it is significantly lighter than a stock Demon.
It is no surprise that the quarter-mile sprint takes 8.77 seconds. This is almost a full second faster than the factory Demon’s 9.65 seconds. The final speed is 162 miles an hour (261 km per hour), and the sound is incredible.
Speedkore’s new carbon fiber Demon is an evolution of its all-carbon Demon, which was revealed at 2017 SEMA. The car was originally powered by a stock engine of 840 horsepower (626 kW). From October 30 through November 2, the new Demon will be displayed at Las Vegas’s annual show.
As far as we know, this is the fastest Demon in the entire world. We wouldn’t be surprised to see Hennessey come up with something faster, given how obsessed they are with speed.
