Although the car’s exact specs have yet to be released, its dimensions and light weight make it look promising
Italian cars are often mentioned first when you think of supercar brands such as Ferrari and Lamborghini. Maserati and Alfa Romeo are just a few examples. These cars are usually huge and have powerful engines that allow them to go at high speeds.
However, one Italian company does exactly the opposite of these popular names. Spice-X is an Italian collaboration between car companies from Piedmont. The company’s goal is to build an electric race car that is lightweight and made with low-cost materials in order to reduce costs. They want to create a race car that is accessible for all.
With the Spice-X SX1, the company can achieve exactly that. The Spice-X SX1 was designed by Fabrizio Pere of MasteryDesign. It measures 3,827 millimeters (150.6 in) in length and 1,695 mils (66.7 in) in width. The car’s overall weight is 600 kilograms (1.323 pounds), although this has not been disclosed. The Spice-X SX1 is one of the most lightweight electric cars of our time. It reminds us a lot of Lotus.
The Spice-X was not disclosed, but Motor1 Italy did manage to obtain some information about it. The Spice-X’s size and single-seat capability are minor. It is powered by two motors at the rear. The Spice-X can reach speeds of 160 km/h (99.4 mi/h) or 210 km/h (130.4 mi/h), depending on which version. The torque figures are 160 Newton meters (118 pound feet) and 400 Newton meters (295 pound feet), depending on which battery pack is chosen: 330 volts, 450 volts.
Spice-X has yet to disclose a price, but the Piedmont-based company promises that it will be affordable for all. Not to mention the stunning renderings.
