The 2007 Tokyo Motor Show will see the release of the next generation Nissan GT-R. It will also be the first Nissan super sportscar to hit the US.

Last year, Nissan displayed a concept car at the Tokyo Motor Show. Here are the latest photos of the production version. It is the 2008 GT-R, Nissan’s answer for Porsche’s 911 Turbo.

The 2007 Tokyo Motor Show will see the release of the next generation Nissan GT-R. It will also be the first Nissan super sportscar to hit the US. The new 3.7-litre twin-turbo V6 engine will produce approximately 450 horsepower. The next-generation ATTESA ET–S 4WD and very high-quality 20-inch tires are also built for speed. Rumours suggest that the GT-R will be offered with a paddle-shifted seven-speed gearbox

The GT-R also has a major advantage over Porsche. It will cost tens of thousands less than a Porsche Turbo when it arrives in showrooms.
