Strasburg should wait to get his C8 because there might be a delay due to the recent strike by United Automobile Workers against General Motors. Although assembly should continue before the end, the vehicles may arrive in showrooms sooner than expected.

The C8 starts at $59,995 with a $1,095 destination charge. The top trim level 3LT with all options can see a price increase to $103,615 The price of the new Corvette convertible is not yet known, but rumors suggest that it will cost around $67,500. This would be slightly more than the coupe.
Strasburg could easily park a C8 Corvette in the garage even if he didn’t win MVP. In 2016, Strasburg signed a $175 million, seven-year contract extension with the Nationals. The pitcher can opt out of the contract and become a free agent to potentially negotiate a larger contract MLB.com.
Notable is the fact that many athletes donate their vehicles to charity after they have been awarded an MVP or other similar award. It’s unclear what Strasburg plans to do with his car as of the writing.
