Subaru’s 2.5-liter Boxer engine turbocharged up to 263 PS (193kW) and 347 Nm torque comes standard in Forester tS.
Subaru has revealed the Forester tS model (JDM in automotive parlance) for Japan’s domestic market.
The Forester tS appears to have at least some inspiration from SEdition concept Subaru, which was unveiled earlier this month at the Australian motor show. The 2.5-liter Boxer engine is turbocharged to 263 PS (193kW) and 347 Nm torque, as the S-Edition concept.
This model will be produced, at least in Japan, and although the engine’s ratings might seem to make the SUV a bit more powerful than it really is, the Forester tS curb weight is 1810 kg (3990lbs), so it will get all the power it can.
The Forester tS will be identical to the Legacy tS and include a tuned suspension with STi-tuned springs and dampers, as well as flexible front and back sway bars.
The Forester tS will only be available in Japan. This limited edition series will only be available in 300 units
