Arthur Tussik was last mentioned almost three months ago. We saw him work on a badly damaged Tesla Model S. It was an interesting process to restore some of the aluminum parts of the all-electric sedan. Tussik now explains the complete restoration of a Subaru Forester.
This time, it’s more difficult as the Japanese SUV suffered significant damage to its right side and front. The front panels must be replaced, while the right doors as well as the rear quarter-panel will be repaired. Tussik then puts the car on a platform and disassembles all interior parts.
After repairing the rear quarter-panel it is time to work on the rear right passenger doors. This requires more complicated but less labor. Tussik then moves on to the front passenger right door. This door also has internal damage that is hidden beneath the interior door panel.
After the work on Tussik’s right side is completed, Tussik moves on to the front fascia. The good news is that both the engine and radiators seem to have survived. Tussik replaces parts of the support structure for the radiator and the support beam for the fenders.
After all the front panels have been installed, including the bumper, bumper, hood and headlights Tussik will install the radiator support frame’s upper portion. After sprinkling the engine bay parts, the car can be handed to its owner. They will then take the car to the body shop for a full respray.
Tussik’s work took eight days. It’s an amazing job as usual. However, we would love to hear from you – would it be okay for you to own a damaged car that was fixed by Tussik? Please leave your comments below.
